Recently obtained an EU Pet Passport from a vet in Belgium for our dog (and had a rabies booster at the same time). Now I'm back in the UK I've got some misgivings about the way it seems to be have been completed in a bit of a sloppy way. Am I right to be concerned - I used it OK to get back into the UK but we've another trip planned to Spain next month and I'm not sure whether the passport will come under more scrutiny then.

Is it filled in correctly? I put vets in the same bracket as Drs for spider writing, shouldn’t be an issue if all the dates are correct.

Looks alright to me, poor writing but as Rudski01 says it shouldn't be a problem

Agree it looks untidy but all the relevant info seems to be there. It looks as though the vet has put a laminate sticker over the vaccine details (which isn’t actually necessary as it is handwritten rather than the sticker from the vaccine phial). However I can’t tell if the page with the microchip number has also been laminated, which it should have been.

I don't think it is due to the way the texture of the page is showing in the image with no reflection whatsoever which you'd get a bit of from it being laminated, it can be easily solved though by the Op putting some laminate on it themselves if needs be, or just leave it as it is (ie don't deface a legal document).

Thanks everyone for your replies. No, the microchip entry is not laminated and I didn't realise it should be. There's a page of laminate in the passport so I can cover that myself.

As a precaution I emailed photos of the pet passport to Brittany Ferries and their Pet Travel Expert said that all was ok apart from I needed to complete the address on page 4. My dilemma now is which address do I put in - my UK address or the place we stayed in Belgium at the time we obtained the passport.

Same Vet we used but she got the dates wrong on ours so had to rely on the AHC.
The dates on your Pet Passport are correct and it’s got you back into UK so it is obviously ok.
Her writing is abysmal but the powers that be are happy with it so I don’t see the problem, now you’ve got the passport sit back and relax!

The address is the one item on a Pet Passport that you can change yourself, so it really doesn’t matter which one you use. My dog has a French Pet Passport with a UK address - used several times, no problem.

I did the laminate myself but just cut enough to cover the entry already in the passports rather than the whole page incase they need to put anymore info in.
