We were due to travel to France in June but had to postpone for “family matters”. Rescheduled for August.

August was postponed due to contracting COVID, rescheduled to September.

September was postponed due to attending “urgent” hospital appointment, (fortunately given all clear), rescheduled to 31st October.

Today, we got bored so decided to bring forward to 28th October, spend a couple of nights on Canterbury P&R, explore Canterbury before crossing on 31st.

Intending to head to the Loire valley, then Alsace, visiting Europe’s oldest and biggest Christmas Market in Strasbourg before heading home at end of November………

……unless we change our minds and move on to plan N…….

……or onwards!

Apologies for double posting. No idea how that happened.

I think you're alphabet is a bit short on letters if you're already at M and thinking of N! :giggle:

I wouldn't fret, if you can get away, go for it. No one is giving you marks for sticking to the original plan.

We set out for Croatia once but missed and nearly reached the toe of Italy instead. :)

The way my life has panned out, I soon realised that the saying "Men plan, and God laughs" has a lot of merit. Set broad goals that you intend to do if it works out, but be prepared to make it up as you go. Worrying that things stop your plans is futile, live for the day

Regarding plan M etc……

For almost 20 years we have been set to tour Portugal but never reached there.

We always meet people, on sites, who say “oh, you must visit, Cordoba, Seville etc”… so we divert and run out of time. Perhaps Portugal should become next year’s plan N.

If you plan for the fact it may get to M then you will enjoy A even more 👍

We felt like that, finally made it to France this year, plan was to go in 2019, having bought van end of 2018. Life and Covid got in the way, was so worth the wait,

My mantra in the 10yrs since I retired has been, Plan nothing, avoid disappointment, although saying that, I have been more organised in this past 2yrs than ever before because, if I do not book up the Fun rallies early, they have gone! :crying:

Our Mantra has now become “do it now before it’s too late.

We have lost so many contemporaries since COVID began, (not all due to COVID), that we are now holidaying as though there is no tomorrow, just in case there isn’t.

We had a right palaver with this trip so only got 3½ weeks instead of 6½ due to poxy airbag ecu.

Our first trip in a Motorhome we were heading for the Baltic Coast, weather was bad so we turned right at Belgium and ended up in Slovenia.

Yes, but if I planned that, I would run out of money and still be alive for another 10yrs!

I'm an orphan and have no parents that I could run home too.

I didn’t whether to give that a “like”, a “funny” or a “hug”.

I’m prepared to spend a bit as we have told our daughter, (only child), she will inherit the house when we pop our clogs but our aim is to leave the bank account just above zero. ;)

I'm a bit like that, I used to be undecisive but now I'm not sure? I blame 'old age'.

After the last couple of years I've given up "planning" anything beyond tomorrow! Now it's a matter of "we're thinking of" and the only planning I do is essentials like a channel crossing and return but now even that is in danger as we're told our next building project can't be started until January.............................
We're thinking of returning to Norway to "do" the bits we missed.
We're thinking of doing a few more MHF rallies as we've found them enjoyable and better than the MH shows.
We're thinking of another tour of Scotland as the last one got weathered out.
