Hi

According to the manual I have access through the Mode menus to turn passenger airbag on or off, along with clock, speed, beep and units.

I can’t find the option for airbag and wonder if it is common to not have them?

TIA

quite common not to have passenger air bag, unless its an vA class they all start as vans and entry level vans seldom have airbags as the person responsible for paying for them wont be travelling in it
You can usually tell by whether there is storage or a tray on the dash that side

Usually the passenger side dash will be embossed AIRBAG or SRS as a warning not to put anything on the dashboard which will become a projectile if the bag employs.
The steering wheel will also have the same embossed somewhere on the center trim

Thanks.

I will have another look tomorrow for the embossed mark. I did look before but couldn’t find it. I also thought that if there is a marking, it should be pretty easy to see it, which prompted me to ask the question.

I was wondering if there was any other way of finding out, so tried the Mode menu - but alas, no luck.

If it has a passenger air bag there should be a warning light to the left of the buttons on the centre console (near the hazard light switch):

With passenger air bag:

Without:

It seems that there are a lot of vans without.

My 2004 Ducato (Burstner C class) had a shelf on the passenger side of the dash where the airbag would have been - which was ideal as it was where a cushion was placed so my wife could rest her feet............

We always wondered what the French and Spanish thought as they must have seen the 'driver' with her feet on the dash !!

Thanks to all your replies.

There is no embossed badge or switch, nothing in the Mode menus, so I guess I don’t have a passenger airbag.

You should also have a warning sticker on the passenger sun visor if you have a passenger airbag.

One of the reason we went for a Ford base at the time passenger airbag cruise aircon and a heated screen were all standard on ours but extras on most Fiats

Yep, you have a big cuby hole where air bag would be if you had one

Nope.... You have what looks like a flip up section on top, a glove cubby hole below and oddment tray, nowhere for an airbag.
