So, I have a Gaslow bottle and a Calor bottle, both with bottle mounted regulator's and then fed to a tee piece and into the van.
If I disconnect the Calor bottle to use with say a barbecue, would the other bottle still be able to supply the van or would the gas flow out of the disconnected regulator?
If this was the case I would need to fit an isolation tap in the line or should I do this anyway?
Then to save extra connections, is there a tee available with a switchover valve?

You can get a manual change over valve with regulator attached for between £35 and £70 depending on the type and model you want.

I have 2 gas it cylinders and prefer to do manual change over so I know exactly when a bottle is empty.

Never leave an open end on any pipe/fitting in a gas installation. I wouldn’t trust the disconnected regulator’s nrv to not fail at some point and allow gas to pass out of the open ended flexible connection pipe, and would cap it off or remove it and cap the branch in the tee fitting as a minimum.

BTW as you have bottle top regulators do you have any crash protection installed?

Regulators don’t have a Non return valves in them , what’s the age of your van ?
Ideally just go to using a single regulator but fit a POL adapter on the gaslow cylinder.
NEVER leave an open end on any gas system, even when you have isolation valves etc .
There is a manual changeover / tee available but you would still need to remove the connection and cap it so it won’t really help you .

Thanks. I wasn't sure so thought I would ask. As you say, fitting an adaptor and having a single regulator would be the simplest solution.
Do you have a link to an adapter on your website?
