During my twelve years in the army I never owned a bottle opener. Our regimental belt buckle was made for opening bottles. The moto on it said twist to open.
Most of the fitters vehicles had a bottle opener fitted but one of our officers thought he would try and bring some culture to our crowd by bringing a bottle of wine. We left him to work out how he was going to get in it whilst we drank the beers.

are you getting the shakes and cold sweats yet

If I don’t carry a spare opener or a Swiss Army Knife do you really think I’ll be packing a chainsaw ::bigsmile:
Well….. you are into your “boys toys” but perhaps not that red about the neck though…

Watched a South African guy open several one night in his eye socket. His party piece.

Just wondering what sort of person can actually break a bottle opener…. Chuck Norris perhaps…. Or indeed Rob, his protege

I was in REME too. :)

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Force it open on a wooden or brick ledge or perhaps borrow a pair of flip flops my wife once bought me with a bottle opener in the sole.

In the future and to avoid issues, buy cans.

You can also open bottles by using another bottle with a cap on.

This is done by inverting one bottle under the other and levering the caps together 😊
