Dinette window, nets and curtains

Hi all.
I need some help please.
I took my nets and curtains off my dinette window to wash them.
These are old standard nets and curtains in two halves that you draw open or closed horizontally.
But there is only one track to put them both back onto so for example I can't get the curtains to open without the nets opening as well.
The curtains must have been attached to the nets but I have tried this and I can't get them to work independently of each other.
I'm tearing my hair out at this stage!
