Seen on a cinema screen it'll be a lot like a live gig - minus moshing & spilt liquid.I don't see the attraction of paying to attend a simulated digital gig.
I would prefer to see a live tribute band. There are some excellent tribute bands. Great atmosphere. Even though the audience can be almost 100% pensioners nowadays for some 70s rock tribute gigs which is a bit weird. We are all teens at heart aren't we.
Considering some of the rubbish offerings that we have dealt up over the years, Waterloo beats any of the stuff we have entered. IMHO Brotherhood of Man were the only ones to come close to a quality entry. Equally, I'm also in my seventies so perhaps my memory is going.IIRC when they won Eurovision the UK gave them null poin, what do we know
From the bits I've read the new build venue will be offering a 360 degree experience, so hopefully more than a cinema screen. Time will tell.Seen on a cinema screen it'll be a lot like a live gig - minus moshing & spilt liquid.
How the audience react to the visuals will be key.
I saw a Rocky film in the cinema. For the boxing ring scenes the audience was up for it like they were at a real fight.
I did see the late Friday night showing
And possibly a large bottle of Cobra. For 21 quid I'll want a chicken Tikka thrown in too.
And a chapati or would we be going over budget? And possibly a large bottle of Cobra.
From £21 not all tickets are £21£21 a ticket or £42 for a couple to go to the pictures. I guess it’s a bargain for some, but not me.
I don't remember them singing that one !For 21 quid I'll want a chicken Tikka thrown in too.
Sadly you won’t hear them what you will hear is a digitally enhanced sound that meets something like their original sound along with digital images, all false, it’s the world we live in and loads fall for it.May well be cringeworthy but I'll keep an open mind till I hear them.
In Harrogate you will only be able to afford a digital aspiration of Chicken Tikka for 21 quid never mind ABBA thrown in as well. For 21 quid I'll want a chicken Tikka thrown in too.
I think a lot will depend on the era from whence you came, ie how good is your hearing ? do you actually go to a concert with the quality of sound uppermost in your mind or is it more about the experience? So visually enhanced, but how about their voices, will it sound like a load of old pensioners let out on day release? After all they are all in their 70's now.
Probably because 50% of the group are dead !So glad The Beatles don't have to go through these prolonged sad endings.
Ah but is sadSadly you won’t hear them what you will hear is a digitally enhanced sound that meets something like their original sound along with digital images, all false, it’s the world we live in and loads fall for it.
That's true but it never stopped The Who from reforming.Probably because 50% of the group are dead !
