Hi all,
Im trying to sell a Frankia I640 via a dealer 2019 reg LHD. no joy for a few months. Is the market particularly bad? its asking price is a bit high Im now beginning to think. 94K. but not sure if even a reduction will help. Any knowledgeable thoughts?

Used prices are falling, how long ago did the dealer price it up for you? Unfortunately, if it was quite a while ago, then dropping by 10% might only be the start.

I am no expert but the value is whatever someone is prepared to pay for it. No buyers after a few months suggests the price is too high, have you had many enquiries?

Thanks,February, Probably too high, significantly if the market is flat. The dropping prices suggest it is. Its LHD manual also, not everyones favourite setup. Ill see if its saleable at lower. Main question is has the market tanked badly, everything seems sluggish.

Main question is has the market tanked badly,

The used market is definitley taking a hit, and discounts on new are appearing more frequently. I notice Autotrader is back up to over 12,000 motorhomes for sale today!

Just a tad..
The reality is that literally everything sells if the sale price is attractive enough to the buyer! It may not be palatable to you though! ☹️

If you're selling via a dealer ask the dealer for advice it's part of what they're getting their margin for. In a falling market it's going to be difficult to decide what price to go to if it's already been around a few months. Good luck with the sale.

Thing to remember is that although dealers don’t make the market it’s in their interest to keep it artificially high as lots of their anticipated profit sits out on the forecourt as they haven’t made a penny until it’s all washed through.
One thing I know from experience is that if they stop going off the front end they can’t make room for newer stock at the back. Invariably something gives, usually price, they have to take some pain & the market sorts itself out.

Its a specialist van that will take a bit of time. The specification is amazing!
I will jump on the phone in the morning and discuss!

All the gear, and no idea!
I was going to trade in my van in for a new one 18 months ago, then I couldn’t complete at the time, I subsequently saw a nice new van by the same dealer 5 months ago and my px had tanked 15k!!
Hence the reason I’ve fell in love again with the old girl and she’s going nowhere atm, I’ve even treated her to a few new nik naks😉👍👍

Oh and as much as I love frankia’s I couldn’t bring myself to get a 640 as there’s no garage, plenty of storage yes, but no garage!
But I do wish mine was a manual and no bed above drivers seat, it’d be perfect👍🥰🥰
