Been here for a week, heading towards Cadiz from Santander. The Spanish Government provide a 25 cent discount per litre on diesel. Repsol seems to offer an average of 1 Euro 89 cents at the pump, but then the discount is applied. Fill up again and the discount is 30 cents. On todays rate that is about £1.40 a litre in UK money. Sunak's 5p discount is little help.

Are you using Waylet......previous thread on here mentioned that tourists may find this hard to set up.

Hi Jumar, sorry for my slow reply. I looked briefly at Waylet but was advised the software was a hassle for tourists so I have not bothered. I have received a discount now from Repsol of 30 cents a litre.

That's a massive increase for Spain, I remember paying about €1.30 in February
Its a Worldwide issue, however discounts of up to 0.30€ per litre is given here in Spain for the next couple of weeks, with summer just around the corner its hoped this will be extended...

Is the discount automatically applied to anyone at the pumps or do you have to have a Repsol card ?

It was automatically taken off when you pay, but we only got 20 cents off a litre last week.

I'd be a lot happier at £1.40 a litre than £1.80!
It would be interesting to know the wholesale price in both countries is it cheaper in Spain because of lower prices from the producers or taxation?

Its 20 cents off at all petrol stations but Repsol appear to be giving 30 cents off. Starting from a higher base?

I have received 25c off per litre for the last two months. Only once did I have to remind the pump attendant.

Fuel flash.eu I found to be a super free site for European fuel prices.
Just enter country, area and up pops cheapest station and prices.Paid €1.68 in Badajoz after the discount of 20%.
Hope this helps.
