Any advice please. Main concern is , can you travel with pet and stay in the Motorhome with her thanks all😎

No people or pets can remain on the car deck after departure of the ship.

The only way that you can go to the mainland and remain in the motorhome, with the pet, is via Eurostar

Simple answer is no to staying in vehicle. The crew will allow an escorted visit half way through the sailing. Usually a four hour crossing, occasionally five to six hours on some night sailings.

They don't have pet cabin on Newhaven route, you would have to go from Newcastle to Amsterdam for that facility with DFDS, some P&O have a pet lounge on Dover route

1.Pets have to remain in the vehicle.
2.Eurostar doesn't carry vehicles, you need Le shuttle.

We have done this journey & the return from Dieppe to Newhaven many times. If travelling down the west of France (ie towards Spain) it saves a good chunk of miles & hours. The 4 hour crossing can sometimes seem a bit long & there is limited choice on crossing times.

Your dog does have to stay unaccompanied in your vehicle for the duration - but if requested staff will accompany you to your vehicle to check halfway through your journey.

We find our elderly dog is ok with a tea time crossing - how old is your dog?

We had previously almost always used Eurotunnel for crossing & whilst this would still be our 1st choice, their increase in fares & loss of the frequent traveller scheme means we usually travel for half the cost on the Newhaven/Dieppe route.

Thanks for that, 3 years old but I won’t leave her unaccompanied. Looks like Santander to Plymouth again.😎

Ours travelled fine on many crossings. They were used to the van, a good walk before the crossing. Personally I would not go and see them halfway as they would get exited and then left possibly confused When you go away again. Several times they were asleep when we returned. They sleep in the van overnight when you are on your travels so not in a strange place. But of course you must do what suits you.

BF have pet cabins too. Allegedly.

I found their human cabins not all that comfortable for the overnight crossing so I am thinking of Le Shuttle once more.

Just altered my BF crossing Portsmouth/Caen and noticed pet friendly cabins available. Not sure where you live clint, but this may be a better crossing for you. Not cheap, but could save time.

We have used this crossing many times with our two labs. Always choose the late night crossing & never visit them. Always fine & it’s when they would normally be asleep anyway. Stop at the first chance for a walk of course.

Did this crossing with our dog in April and back in June. My wife got pretty anxious about leaving him claiming that our dog is nervous and wouldn’t like it. She wanted to go check on him but I convinced her that once left it was surely better not to disturb him. He was absolutely fine on both crossings. Draw all the blinds, make sure your alarm is de activated open some roof vents and leave plenty of water. The dog is in familiar surroundings ie your Motorhome so will settle. We are already planning the same ferry crossing for next year. They are a bit cheeky though charging £18 each way for the dog which stays in your vehicle.
