They probably won’t (almost certainly) polish your vehicle before it’s applied.

Also I think you can buy that stuff for about £25.
Apparently it comes off fairly easily.

Not something I would pay for and have done.

As already said buy some scotch guard or similar.

Hi.
When enquiring about this at one point,i was told. " Its only as good as the person putting it on,doing it ". Having read about the pre prep needed, I would not have it done.

A decent treatment from a professional will cost a lot more but be done properly.

Have a search on here for ceramic coating.

I have two mates that have both recently had it done. They are both happy with it. Paid £300 though

Tourshine.co.uk just as good and probably cheaper. The prep work they did before coating my van was epic.

Fabric treatments are normally fairly cheap stuff you can buy in cans, and some insurance... that is pretty easy to wriggle out of.

Well we have gone for Diamond brite , time will tell, got similar product on my Volvo XC60 which is a 2009 year ,never polished it , but, never put through car wash either, anyhow picking up Thursday after 15 month wait 😄( I hope)

I paid £300 pound for it 4 years ago and had to have it repolished not a very proffessional finish job and within 12 months you would not know it had been applied. Save your money and look at getting a well respected product and apply it yourself.

I bought some of this a few weeks ago as an experiment to help me make my mind up whether to invest in ceramic coating for the new van or go down the DIY route.

Applied it to my 5 year old car after giving it good wash and although only a very short term test, it looks amazing and was so much easier to apply than wax.Given it only one wash since so no durability test but it came up good as new.So far very impressed.

I once had a saloon car treated with Diamondbrite. A later car of the same model wasn't treated. I haven't been able to tell the difference in terms of shine, water repellence or anything else.

Lots of horror stories out there about car dealers just putting on ordinary polish and flogging the professional stuff on ebay. Usually applied by the most junior boy or girl in the shop. My new VW was done properly though (Lifeshine), the Ducato not so much I think.

When we bought the Van new in 2017 the dealer tried pushing Diamondbrite. We looked into it and decided no - their guarantee wasn't worth much. We did the interior fabrics with scotchgard (as mentioned in another reply) and just wash and Bobby Dazzler the van when we can!

Done ours with Maguires, ceramic coating. Gave it a really thorough clean first. It now beads the water of easily. Washes easier, and stays cleaner with the dirt unable to cling to the surface so easily.
Mike.

Bought a BMW paid about five hundred pounds for the treatment when it failed went back to them to be told it was my fault massive argument ensued for which I won in the end so when offered it my new Motorhome turned it down went to see a local supplier and bought a ceramic coat treatment spent a day cleaning and polishing that was two years ago van still looks as good as new total cost £30 bargain

I have used the turtle product on my Audi and the results were amazing, and lasted about 7 months for only one coating; now re-apply every 6 months

Paid for it on our Globecar; literally after a month there was zero difference to my car (which didn't have it). Genuinely don't know what you're supposed to be getting, but it looks like nothing to me......

It is a coating that I can only describe as fragile.

The vehicle needs proper preparation prior to any sealant application.

You also need to be careful in your wash regime, use something like TFR and it will strip many sealants and waxes.

Never take a vehicle to the Eastern European car wash, supermarket washers or let the Main dealers wash your car.

IMHO 😊

I know little about Diamondbrite but at that price I would expect a proper ceramic finish and they don’t appear to claim that their finish is ceramic. I am happy with the ceramic finish on our motorhome and very happy with the ceramic finish on our car which is now 8 years old, looks as good as new and hasn’t needed polishing in 8 years. Ceramic finishes properly applied are tough and survive car washes.

I went to a car specialist and bought ceramic coating for a small bottle (25ml) its about £30 but you only use very little, but you must prep your vehicle first, it took me about 2 days to do my Autotrail but the results are excellent, if you look on YouTube car detailers will show you exactly how to put it on, i did mine 2years ago now and it’s still shines like new.

This Diamondbrite is beginning to sound like a bit of a con to me, hanging their price on the tails of Ceramic finishes without the benefits. Ceramic finish requires meticulous preparation and application but at least it works if done properly.

Emporers clothes!

We paid for the Williams ceramic coating on our car. It's since had some bodywork done and no further treatment applied I can't say I can tell any difference on the bits that are done and those that aren't.

I’m guessing only time will tell
