Dethleffs I6870
Can anyone help me get a reasonable priced headlight for a Dethleffs a class i6870 2013 motorhome.

Its a hella light picture attached and its the offside front light that the lens has suddenly crazed.

This is my first time on forum so apologies if this is incorrect thread etc.

A full photo of the lamp would help but it looks like a Dethleffs specific part made my Hella, your only option will be a Dethleffs dealer.

I have bought Hymer rear lamps from both German & French dealers a lot cheaper last one was €135 compared to £275 in the UK.

I email a few dealers when I'm in their country and then pick one up if in stock as most won't ship to the UK.

Many thanks for quick reply full image attached. Uk dealers have quoted £2200 supply only for the offside headlight (only one light) which seens very expensive hense why I am looking at different options.

Can you polish the crazing out?

Has it failed MOT or is it just cosmetic?

Its cracked like crazy paving no polish will fix that currently taped up with headlight clear tape. Mot not till 15/12/24 but dealer said 14 weeks lead time on new headlight. Bit of an issues as off skiing for Christmas with it.

Might be worth taking it for and early MOT and if it passes try and get one in Germany on your ski trip.

Another option try a Belgium dealer (easier to deal with than French) book a cheap 24 hour crossing to nip across and pick it up if its a lot cheaper.

You didn't say if you are LHD or RHD, getting one from abroad it will be LHD but looks like standard Hella light units so should be able to change it over if you are RHD.
Our new Carthago has flat dipping if yours has it makes life easier.
