New to motorhomes 2019
We were in Scotland this weekend and called into a local dealer. Viewed an Alpha over bed cab for the 1st time. Actually looking for an A class (we think) and initial impresssion of the Alpha A was that it was a bit ugly. Apologies to anyone who has one as I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, inside it is fantastic! The best and largest useable rear lounge we have seen to date, proper wooden step access to the large over cab bed, only drawback for me was the slight lack of headroom in the overbed cab.

When we feedback to the sales guy he let slip that for 2019 there is an integrated version, although he had no further details.

Got home and started googling - as you do, and found this, looks and sounds fantastic - pity it's gone straight to 8 metres plus and tag axle though, unless there is a range as per the exiting Alpha?

Certainly on the list to view at Dusseldorf though.

We are just about to buy a 6820 Alpa (the single axle version) seems the perfect layout, and still loads of room for two of us. It doesn't seem to lose too much against the 7820, and is a more manageable 7.3 metres long.

Hi Stephen, yes it was the 6820 we saw in Scotland. A great layout, especially the lounge area. Are you buying in UK or importing?

UK, the German prices for the Alpa don't seem to be very much cheaper. Plus the dealer is fairly local to us and has a good reputation. We also have a van to trade in and the trade-in offered was very good.
Yes, it was the lounge plus the double-floor storage which really sold it to us.

Just looked at the below ... can't understand why you'd want a daft cupboard in place of a sofa!

Must admit, been looking at the Grand Alpa as an option ourselves. Wish there was an Iveco chassis about to look at. Our alternative is the Hymer Duomobil.
