Just an update from the many posts I made on these Tyres.
Tyres were fitted November 2018. Started to crack within 18 months.
Returned to Kwik Fit who. rarely use for my mini fleet. I wasn't able to visit and my wife and daughter were told this was quite normal and acceptable .
After several years of emails post covid to KWIK FIT a Michelin Europe. Being fobbed off , Examples :
Local Kwik Fit manager, telling me he could not fit me in for the long process of returning the tyres on two occasions.
He also suggested I return them Via National Tyres as it is owned by Michelin.
That or go to any tyre dealer.
Did not like me insisting KWIK FIT carry out the return as they were my supplier
Advised me it could take at 3 months for the response from Michelin to test them
Even When Tested, result would probably be user error, normal wear or abuse.
Even after a long conversation explaining my knowledge of tyres and how, clearly, they were defective. The manager tried to persuade me to simply dispose of the tyres.
The Michelin Tyres which had now been replaced were returned via the Local Kwik Fit Branch, Quite a bit of form filling and photos.
After four months, I got fed up of the lack of response from Michelin and Kwik Fit. Tyres have gone missing and no response from emails or telephone calls I made.
I sent an online money claim and the money for the full, original purchase price plus, fee is now in my bank.
I have to Say, Kwik Fits customer service from receiving the claim, has been very good. But the local garage and Michelin not so.
