Looking on the bright side you should get a few more miles to the gallon with replacing that heavy decking (y)

what is the best sealant we can use?

Use Puraflex 40 from Toolstation, it's made by the same company that makes Sikaflex but is a third of the price. Don't be tempted to use any kind of silicon sealer, even types that say they are waterproof.

Might be worth having a look at a few video's of how Motorhomes and Caravans are constructed. First bit you will notice is the floor is the first part to be fitted onto the chassis. Then all the furniture is fitted onto the floor. The sides go on and again they are all fastened to the floor. You will need to construct a floor that uses the chassis of the vehicle similar to the way it was constructed to start with. By the look of it from the photograph this is not going to be an easy fix. You will need to work to some sort of plan as the sides are going to have to be reattached to the floor if you want to make it waterproof. You cannot rely on fastening anything to the side walls they are usually made of very thin alloy on a light wooden frame. Have you checked the rest of it for damp especially round the windows. If you have to start removing internal walls and replacing wood you are going to have all sorts of fun.
