Very interesting. A number of MPs standing up for motorhome users, making excellent points about the unfairness.

Thanks for posting debate very interesting to hear, I think the minister doesn’t understand the point made that it is encouraging older more polluting vans to stay on the road penalising newer less polluting vehicles. Talk about cloth ears! ?

He also said we don't see motorhomes in supermarkets as there not used as cars, BUT we do still need to use a supermarket quite often for shopping but you can't get in them due to height restrictions. We now paying tax same same as a car so why shouldn't we be able to go in them. Please forgive my ignorance if I am wrong in what I have said.

Anything that will happen. will not be as result of "US", Believe me, we can bitch all we like, the next G-E is 5 years away!. Those with the most "clout" are manufacturers of the Chassis/Cab units, the Motorhome Manufacturers and the supliers of equipment. They need to get behind it on the basis that IF the govt; wants to move the economy on post brexit, they need to do ALL they can to aid production. IF that means going counter to the "Green Lobby" then THAT is what they must do. The "industry", is what we can lobby, pointing out to the manufacturers that we are not going to buy, are less likely to buy or will delay buying, is more likely to get a result. MONEY TALKS. MP`s just spout hot air.

As an aside , I noticed at the Manchester show this weekend that dealers are pricing new moho’s with the new extortionate tax included in the OTR price rather than pointing it out to the un- initiated

It`s up to "US" though to keep prodding the manufacturers, and highlighting the fact that in the end their existence depends upon "US" consumers!. IF they get the idea the Customer will just roll over, they will back off!.

Every "public" led, change has always been due the persistence of those pushing for it.

Even the Abortion of slavery, a fundamental thing, would not have happened without the persistence of a relatively small group.

I see them in Supermarkets (mostly on the Continent where they are more welcomed)
Some do have 6 seats!
Some people use them for business, I know someone who repairs and services Helicopters.
They are used for transported people and goods
