Hi all. I am now at the stage where I am up grading my battery to Lithium in my old Hymer 630 (1997). It has a EBL 105-3 (circuit diagram attached). I have bought a Victron 12/12 30a Dc-DC charger and having read a bit, I realise that I will have 2 conflicting chargers unless I do some alterations to the EBL input from the starter battery. Below is what I intend on doing (installing a change-over relay). Can you knowledgable people let me know if this is going to work or advise if not. This is my first MH and electronics is not my strength.

I have attached a file with the details. The images are taken form an online site which does not show the fuses that I will be installing. 1 x 60amp at + cable (16mm2) from starter battery to DC-DC charger and 1 x 60amp on the load from the DC-DC charger going to +bussbar.

Many thanks.

I have the EBL220 and the B2B you mention..
As advise by a fellow knowledgable funster i simply removed a large fuse near the starter battery. Job done and it's working fine.
Obviously ran a new positive wire from the starter battery to the Victron and fused that. (y)

Hi there
I did a similar thing recently - my EBL (103) was different but a very similar diagram. I simply removed the 30A fuse that connects the split charge circuit from the starter battery. So no need for any additional relays or complexity. As tonka says above, this was after a new +ve with fuse was installed between the starter batt and DC/DC unit.

Looking at your circuit, I'd say this is fuse #3 (30A) - Batterie 1.

Any other more experienced funsters confirm or deny this?
