50 years of boating, just one on motorhomes.
As I finally approach the completion of my 280ah LifePo4 battery build I am fitting the circuit breaker

I am pretty sure it does not matter but does anyone know if there is a particular orientation for the load and supply?

I will post the details of the build if anyone is interested when its finished but basically its four 280a LifePo4 cells from AliBaba with a JK BMS

Many thanks

David

I have used a similar breaker before and I couldn't see an orientation so just installed it with the text facing upright and the trip worked fine.

lots of reported failures with the chinese circuit breakers on the self build forums is there a reason you cant use a fuse?

I wanted a combined fuse and disconnect on the battery. The breaker is actually higher rated than the setting in the BMS so that should shut it down first. I will say I had one of these on my boat for the anchor winch and it always behaved flawlessly (apart from tripping at inopportune moments which was more related to trying to lift boulders from the seabed!)
