Daytime Parking in Kelso

Hi There, does anyone know of daytime parking in Kelso for a 7m Motorhome ? Quick Google search suggests The Knowes car park and right enough looking at Google earth there appears to be what may be 5 Motorhome parking spaces. Anyone able to confirm this. Thanks

Sorry buntyb they are coach / bus parking and you will be fined if you park there. The Knowes car park is very tight to get into - even with a car the spaces are small and the car park is always busy.

I would suggest going further along The Butts towards the river and there are a couple of parking areas down there that are less busy but further to walk. The Garden Centre which is also down there has a nice restaurant.

There is on street parking in Kelso centre if you are early enough to snag a space plus you could try The Showground which might have overnight facilities. The area round the racecourse has parking and I can give you some ideas of private car parks that may allow parking if you ask nicely - just message me.

You may also be aware that Funsters have a free overnight stop available a few miles north of Kelso but you would need to contact me first so I can arrange it.
