A Newbie question

So, whilst travelling back from a weekend away in Wales we thought about stopping off at a National Trust property but decided against it not being able to judge accessibility, width of road, etc, etc.

So my question is are there any useful guides or online tools for planning day trips in a motorhome into towns (including ability to park of course) or to other places - National Trust, etc - other than looking at a map book or using Google Maps/Street View that you have found useful?

Also you can use google street view to give yourself a virtual drive along the narrow approach roads.

Some NT properties also have stone gateposts at the entrance and I wish the NT website would tell us the actual width.

Ours is a 6m PVC but I have found this website:- http://park-my-motorhome.co.uk/ quite useful for identifying car parks in which we can park our van. With the NT, once we have identified a property to visit and checked whether there is onsite parking, we have found their car parking people very helpful in identifying the best place for us to park our van 👍

Cheers
