a class 890 hymer
Wondering who out there has a dashboard or window mounted camera recording their travels.
I’m looking to get one for window mounting on an A class Motorhome.
In the past I’ve rarely had a journey as where someone doesn’t cut me up causing a sharp breaking/ swerving event. Or idiot driver who has no comprehension of the Highway Code!
Or even basic courtesy to all other Road users.
So looking for thoughts on it at around £100 price range?
Brand Features benefits etc…
Thanks!

If you stick it to the window, it'll clash with the blinds. I just mounted it to the dash upside down.

Not sure if recent models are better, but 4k ones were pretty unreliable. They get hot and the cards can't keep up. They don't offer tons more clarity either. Personally I'd still get a basic but well reviewed 1080p which would be about £50.

I also recommend this, channel the zen 😁:

My Nextbase fits on the sucker mounting on the windscreen. The blind easily clears it as there must be at least a 4" gap to the glass.

Yes my thoughts but I was looking at Ring cameras as they are half the price of Nextbase
I just need GPS
And incident recording. I don’t need voice activated.
Just a big enough memory card for a day’s journey which can be downloaded???

I've not updated my dashcam in a while. But with the amount a motorhome shakes, even on the lowest sensitivity, the incident detection was triggering all the time.

In my opinion, it's not needed. Your card will have many hours before it loops round. If you have an incident, you'll have probably weeks of driving before it gets wiped.

I've only found GPS to be useful for setting the correct timestamp. The apps you need to use to extract the data weren't very useful when I tried.

Also, screens are pretty much useless after you've set the thing up. If anything, they're bad because they make the unit bigger. Mine is set to turn off after a minute of driving.

One of the best bits of kit you will probably buy.
Agree with your comments about some other Road users.
No idea what make ours is, it came via Mr Amazon, cost about £50 and does the job
