Damp in 155
Been told by a major supplier in Cheshire that damp in the wall just after the cab under the nearside settee was due to moisture coming from the bumper area!!.To 155 owners you will know that means the moisture must travel past the gas cabinet, wheel arch and habitation door, missing out the bedroom wall!!!
Is this at all feasable?

Our 2012 Elddis was riddled with damp when we went to exchange it for a new van, it would take weeks to dry out and a fortune to repair, it was found to be on sale at another dealer a week after we exchangeit. A friend enquired when could they have it ready and was told a week??

The older part ex vans are usually sent for auction. They give you a low price and are not that bothered what price they raise at auction because the new van profit covers that .

Got to say, in my experience most motorhome manufacturers are clueless in preventing damp.

I have owned 5 motorhomes now, 4 of them leaked.

On my current van, Chausson 711 I have had to fix a number of leaking windows, and take preventative measures on others.

Just this weekend I found a leak coming in from the awning light, upon removal found small “blob” of sealant where the wiring came through the outer skin.

The sealer, what small amount there was had come away from the outer skin.

Absolute bodge, cannot believe a major MH manufacture finds this an acceptable method of sealing a penetration of the outer skin!

Do you know for a fact it was riddled with damp or just going on the say so of the dealer. Presumably they offered a crazy trade in price based on their findings. I would have paid for an independant inspection. If it was damp so be it, but if not the price increase would have more than paid for the check. Sounds like a dodgy trader to do that certainly based on the fact it was available for sale within a week.
