Dammit - half a mile from home and knocked the mirror! Will I get away with mirrorguards?

I had a truck take one out on a Welsh road. I replaced just the back in about half an hour with a new back piece off eBay for £17. Looks original. I managed to crack the overtaking mirror when replacing it so that was another £8.
The original look was important to me rather than protecting for the future. Check if you have short, medium or long arms....there must be a joke involving pockets??

We clashed mirrors last time out. We have mirrorguards and initially thought all we had was faint mark on corner. However closer inspection shows hairline crack in mirror guard casing. Any ideas on sealing/gluing crack.
I have found that this is good for fixing broken plastic. Not a cosmetic fix but that is the easy bit.

Bondic will do the job , not cheap but I used it for a multitude of jobs , even fixed my specs 👓 so I can read and reply to posts on the forum 😉

Fitted a pair of short arm mirrors to our 6m Eldiss, best £100 I've spent on the van, rear visibility doesn't seem any different to me & van feels so much narrower, doubt mirror clashing is going to be an issue any more 🤞
