I backed into some railing today, the damage in about the size if two thumb nails but down to the aluminium on the rear of habitation body. How best should i fix this. Is it simply a case of touch-up paint or maybe a repairer like atone chip. What do others do in this situation. Most annoyed but could have been worse. Advise appreciated holly =",'=

A Mobile Chips Away guy may be able to sort that out for you
or some other smart repair specialist google is the place to look for your area
last resort Body/Paint Shop

a smart repairer would be the best option

Just get it covered as soon as poss with a touch up matched to your vehicle before oxidising can occur lifting the surrounding wound.

As above, but tape a piece of plastic bag over the area to keep water and dirt out rather than painting.
It will make it easier, with less preparation work, for a proper repair to be done later

Do you regularly get dents in your van? I’ll be looking out for you on the roads then!:D:D;)

Most of us are good at our own trades - but if it’s not making invisible repairs to a motorhome bodywork leave it to the experts who carry out this type of work daily. Make it very clear at the assessment stage that if you can see it’s been repaired they will not get paid. Always worked for me.

Yeah i'm in birmingham and no i'm a good drover 42 years on the road but unfortunately in a very tight spot parking and with comformatic box it ran back tadd too much and touched railings. Bloody annoyed but its only 2cm2 scrape sadly these things do happwn as i uae my Burstner everyday as my only form of transport so i do parallel park all the time in town. Do 10,000 milea a year and sleep in her every weekend theoughout the year plus liads of adventures. I'm not the occasional user like many... so i'd be relueved to get my MH sorted toot sweet as she's my 2nd home. Thanks for advise i'll get it sorted =",'=

Hi, have you tried PJ Rhodes, they have a place in Acocks Green near the station, only a couple of minutes off the Swan roundabout and I think another place in Sutton Coldfield, they do minor motorhome scratches.

A week ago I saw a neighbour's car being worked on by these guys:
Broken Link Removed
I walked over to ask if he'd take a look at my m/h. I had a similar area on the front bumper where I had just nudged a concrete post. He came round and repaired it next day - did a great job. Very good.

P. S. Although based in Shirley they are mobile.
