Crossing to Spain

Hi, I’m due to cross to Santander on Brittany ferries later this month. I’ve been reading about ETS and ETIAS and expected delays at ports to do face recognition etc. Some reports say there is a delay for technology to be fully operational but has anyone recent experience of crossing from Portsmouth? Also do I have to register anything before travelling? Thank you

We are on the Santona now heading to Santander, no additional checks from last year, and at the moment a very smooth crossing

Travelling February do we need etias or is it deferred or any other documents to enter Spain

You must register the Advanced Passenger Information with BF but I suspect you will know this.
