That's the most common issue with the French application.
I'm told if you send it via email to yourself if will automatically reduce in size.
I don't remember how i managed it

as above or download a pixel resizer

I have the photos compressed but there are no option other than real time photo as when you press to upload it opens my camera and no options

Use a pc for the application.
Save as jpeg send to your self as said above.
Save as low resolution.

I will try that thanks rather than on phone
I think trying to do it on your phone is the issue. I tried initially on my ipad and couldn’t do it…, fired the laptop up and no issues.

Thanks will try on tablet if not will try pc

I scanned mine on my all in one HP printer at a low dpi, and it was still too big. Used Paint to reduce the size of each page to about 75% and it worked.

The paper certificate was emailed through recently within a couple of days of submitting online, not sure how long the window sticker will take to get here.

I've read elsewhere that some browser types are better than others for the CritAire site. I had no issues doing it via Chrome.

Mine never came, they said they could post a new one and I would have to apply again. Said would refund but never received. They said they had a glitch and would refund again, not received. Am awaiting a reply now for the 3rd/4th time

Thanks Roy, I will just carry the certificate I have to show if asked.

If i remember correctly, the QR code you received in the email is the same as the one on the sticker, so put a copy of that i the window. Although my car is french registered so it might be different.

Which pages of the V5 document do you have to submit?
I have tried attaching the top half of the front page and the top half of the inside of the front page - the 2 sections with any relevant information on them - but when I press "CONTINUE" nothing happens. Not even an error message.

Crit Air sticker dropped on mat this morning. So about 3 weeks from initial application online.
Ours took 6 weeks when ordered last May. As mentioned earlier we used the email confirmation in the windscreen. Cannot confirm this was sufficient as Rouen was the only potention area we visited and I believe the clean air requirement for Rouen was delayed until September.

That would have been my plan too had the sticker not arrived.

I am pretty sure it is done by numberplate recognition, the one i had applied for in montpellier had the same QR code as on the email receipt, i would imagine that the window one is only for local police to check the status if they see you parked up, so as long as you display a print of the email such that they can read the QR code, i cannot imagine you would have a problem.

Watch out for scams, make sure that all correspondence comes from the official website, and dont click on any links you receive in emails and text messages.

A naibour here in france just received this text.

(I have added spaces to stop people accidently clicking on the links)

Crit'Air :
Nos agents ont constaté que votre véhicule n'était pas muni de la vignette règlementaire Crit'Air 2023
veuillez la récupérer sous peine de contravention dans les prochaines 48 h
sur le lien ci-joint :

which google translates as.

She had not applied and has no reason to.

Just ordered a crit air.

€4.61

They email a temporary one to use until you get the official one through.

Took about 15 mins to do, I used the desktop and took a photo on my phone and emailed it to myself to reduce the size of the document. Relatively easy to do with guidance notes available.
