CRIT’AIR sticker!!!

WARNING!

Be very careful when applying for a French Crit’Air sticker.

I was almost caught when applying for a sticker, the con website tried to charge me over 33e. !!!

Make sure you use the official French Government website. The cost of the sticker includes postage is 4.76e

I, coming from a background in 1990 VW's (Westfalia T3 and a Florida) stupidly assumed that all non Euro 6 had the same restrictions, and avoided Rouen this year. I read someones post about the low tunnels in Rouen and realised my mistake. My Crit’Air came last week so planning to get as close to Paris for our holiday next year!

and the German Umwelt sticker can be got here

Both only:

• Cost a few Euros
• Take a couple of weeks to arrive by post
• Are valid for the life of the windscreen or until they fade.

Given the low cost, if there is a chance you may go to France or Germany at any point, then apply for both the stickers now.
As it may save you a fine at some point in the future.
