Truma system, gas (got plenty) not getting through since bashing over a hump. Tried reset button to no effect, also button on hose. Anybody any ideas how to fix it please? Ed

There is a little green button on the regulator you need to hold in for a few second

Hi Ed
Which type do you have ?
Ideally a picture
If it’s a silver regulator with the green button you need a pencil or similar to push button in and hold right in for approximately 5 seconds.

Hi all, it is a silver one, and I have tried all permutations of pressing the green reset button without a result. BTW struggling with a signal here, thanks to all who have or do reply. Ed,

Have you remembered to reset the push buttons by each cylinder connector..... Also gas needs to be switched on to pressurise before resetting the green button on the Changeover valve..... Make sure all appliances are turned off too.

Tried every permutation of pressing the green buttons on the hose and the regulator, home now so also tried a full gas bottle just in case. Think it must be the crash sensor stuck. If they are not mandatory I will try to replace it for one without the crash sensor - I never travel with the gas supply turned on. I have a compressor fridge. But still open to suggestions?

Try your spare gas cylinder to eliminate the cylinder from the puzzle.
If you have a spare jumbo adaptor try that to eliminate the adaptor.
If you've also got a filter in the line before the bulkhead regulator check that's not full of gunge & oil which has been jolted into the supply hole.
Check again the reset as you need to hold it right in for at least 5 seconds for the internals to "latch" on.

Tried all the reset buttons again after changing to a full cylinder, couldn’t have pushed the regulator reset any harder or longer or tried the hose button any more, still nothing. Don’t have a filter between the cylinder and regulator, and the van is about 10 years old, so maybe it is a gunged up regulator. Thanks anyway for all the suggestion….. Ed

When you find the cause would you please post the fault on this board?... It could well help in future.

I had a similar issue in our old van. Just couldn't get the gas through no matter how many times I pushed the reset buttons.
In the end I tried one last push of the hose reset button - but not so much of a push, more of a vice like grip of the button and hose between my thumb and forefinger because I was getting very wound up. Turned out this did it, and gas flow restored once more.

If me in your situation i would test part by part. Disconnect cylinder. Gently open cylinder, gas yes/no. If yes connect the gas hose (pig tail) to cylinder with other end not attached to regulator. Again gently open cylinder and see if you have gas or not, and so on. Breaking it into sections will tell you which part isn’t allowing gas to flow. Understand if you are not confident in this approach, of fiddling with gas systems.

The green button on the regulator needs to be released slowly and not just a push in and let go😊👍

UPDATE: After trying everything - including Landry Andy’s suggestions I decided it must be the regulator.
As it happens I had solar panel fitted today by a very knowledgeable and helpful guy (Dave Newell) who some of you may know. He had a look and confirms it is probably the regulator, and at circa 10 years old needs replacing anyway. Also confirmed a crash sensor type is not mandator. So I am replacing the regulator for a ‘non’ crash sensor type.
Hopefully that will fix it. So I will only revisit this thread if it doesn’t !
So thanks once again for all the helpful suggestions offered!
