“Puig explained that the measure will not affect cinemas and theaters.”

Makes no sense !

No surprises. The Interdepartmental commission has agreed this Thursday to impose the covid passport for access to the interior of establishments with capacity for more than 50 people in the hotel business, leisure and entertainment venues as well as bingo halls and casinos (with restaurant services). It will also be required, when endorsed by the Valencian Supreme Court, for visits to hospitals and public and private residences.

This certificate that will have to be shown at the entrance of the premises together with an identification document will also be requested for celebrations and festivals in closed spaces and outdoors where the use of the mask is not feasible at all times. Puig explained that the measure will not affect cinemas and theaters.

As explained by the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig at a press conference after the meeting was held, the objective of the measure is to create "safer and free spaces for unvaccinated people" and convince those who have opted for avoiding vaccines that they do an "exercise of citizenship" and administer the necessary doses.

Once the measures have been agreed, the Generalitat Valenciana will send them to seek the endorsement of the Valencian Supreme Court. The intention is that it can be launched on December 3. As the measure, Puig has pointed out, will be in force for one month, the restrictions will last all Christmas.

In addition, he pointed out that no further changes in the regulations are foreseen unless the trend worsens.

Although the Valencian Government trusts to have the support of the courts (the High Court has always accepted the restrictions imposed in the Valencian Community), it must be borne in mind that, for example, in the Basque Country, justice has invalidated the same measure.

On the other hand, this same Thursday it was known that the Catalan Supreme Court has given the green light to claim the covid certificate in the interior spaces of bars, restaurants, gyms, cinemas, theaters and residences in Catalonia.

In his appearance, Puig has warned that "the pandemic is not over" and that we are approaching a difficult time with the increase in contacts and carrying out activities indoors due to the cold. Therefore, although "the hospital situation is inferior to other European regions", so that "the negative situation does not continue to advance and break the growing trend" has justified the implementation of the covid certificate.

I think the problem we have is, many Dutch and German probably other nationalities have not been vaccinated and have refused to have it, so making it compulsory to show your covid pass in bars and restaurants reduces the risk, and it might make people change their mind if everyone does it. 🤔
We have a Belgium bar opposite us, so hopefully they will abide by the rules, they were fined for using inside space and no social distancing a while ago. 🙄

Many people still wear masks in Spain, we do if we cant keep a reasonable distance, but that doesn't happen in bars, we went to a restaurant the other night, wore a mask to be seated then forgot when I left the table and was soon told to put my mask on. 🙂 👍 Bob.

National restricted entry into Spain as from December 1st....

Everything getting tight again...rightly so...
It’s quite confusing that document.

I read it in Spanish and translated it to English, twice.

Is it saying that they are restricting non essential travel for third countries or that they are only allowing all citizens (EU & Orhers) in with vaccination certificates?

You read it as I do....very confusing.....have a look at what N332 have put out...a simplified version....

Switching on of the Christmas lights in Malaga last night, the most people in one place I've seen for a long time. About 90% wearing masks but very little distancing. We managed to hide off to one side. Very pretty lights though, they must have cost a fortune.

if it is the same there as here then only every other seat in theatres & cinemas is allowed to be sat in. Same as public toilets .only every other stall or urinal is allowed to be used .Others are locked off.

Same everwhere you go in Spain, even in small villages. +all roundabouts & flower beds are planted with Poinsettias.

My advice is to check your QR code works on your phone App. Whilst mine was there when I scanned it with the TAC Verify app it showed mine as ‘invalid’. Bizarrely when I printed them off and scanned them it showed as ‘valid’. NHS app people told me it could be a few weeks to fix it, I suspect because I’m not the only one and QR codes are individual to me.

Is the NHS Covid pass on my mobile phone compatible with the Spanish Covid pass
Good question...it's an EU Covid passport that we have here in Spain....I believe this was asked earlier this year when Summer visitors were planning to come to Spain....🇪🇦🤔

I think in the EU they are using TAC verify app which will read your NHS app QR code unless, like mine, it ‘hiccups’. Download the TACVerify app on another phone and then scan your QR code with it to see if it works.

We have just come back yesterday from a week in Malaga. I have the NHS app and the French app on my phone along with the paper NHS copy. I wasn't aware there was a Spanish one and surprisingly wasn't asked to show anything even in restaurants or bars unlike France where we were asked almost everywhere.

Thanks for that, have checked my QR codes, 2 come up valid and 1 invalid, will have to get that sorted.

Checked on phone and also printed letter, on both of them the 1st vaccination in January came up as invalid.
By default I suspect as long as the 2nd and 3rd are okay you should be alright. After all you can’t get 3rd without the second

Hopefully you are correct, but I will check it out tomorrow. No telling just what someone in Spain next month will see as okay.
