Corsica?

Has anybody taken their van over to Corsica? if so any tips or places to visit would be really helpful. We are thinking of going mid September & spend maybe 2 or 3 weeks over there. Ive been before on a motorbike but many years ago & thought it beautiful.

We went about 10 years ago with our caravan. Absolutely lovely place with fantastic beaches. We got overnight ferry with cabin from Nice to Ille Rousse and back via Bastia to Toulon on corsica ferries.

Edited to add - we've holidayed on the island a couple of times, but not with the van.

Not done it in a van, but agree very hospitable place having been on 3 occasions. There is very limited sites to stay on, and you may want to give the , https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Corsica+Calanques , a miss due to low overhanging rock formations, but you can take a high speed boat trip around the sea area.

This is an account of our trip. We went by the shortest ferry but there are other longer routes from France. The Corsica bit starts at post #65 on page 3.

We were there for 4 weeks which was about enough time for a good explore.

It isn't a cheap place, there are virtually no aires so you will have to use campsites. But we thoroughly enjoyed the island.

Two Go to Corsica

This trip was originally going to be called Two Go to Corsica and Sardinia. Yet as I read up on what we might find on the islands it became clear we couldn't do much more than sprint round the coastlines in the time available so we are going to Corsica only and Sardinia will have to wait...
