Hi,

We have a Gas lo system on our Knaus with an external gas bbq point. I want to get a Cadac carri chef 50, but it doesn't come a standard with a gas pipe and adaptor. There are lots to choose from, low pressure, high pressure, propane, butane. V confusing.

I am sure someone has a similar set up and can point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Nick.

You just need to identify the BBQ point manufacturer and buy an adaptor for it. Most decent caravan dealers stock a few. You do not need another regulator, the pressure is already regulated where the Gas-lo connects to the van.

First off, do you recognise one of these BBQ outlet as the same as on your van ?

All Cadac BBQ's work from a low pressure gas supply....except Safari Chef HP.

If connecting via the external bbq point, use the standard hose, as shown here:

Okay, that's a Truma BBQ outlet.
The Cadac BBQ you buy will come with a removable connector to the BBQ which will require attaching to a suitable length of 8mm LPG gas hose and you will need to buy the removable connector to your Truma BBQ outlet if you do not already have one.
You may prefer to buy a hose with the connectors already fitted and ready to go, in which case one of these will do the job depending on the length of the hose you want.
