Has anyone used the new Aguri cordless pressure washer. It’s advertised in the latest camping and caravan magazine . It looks nice, neat and useful for cleaning my panel van conversion etc, but I wonder if it’s just a gimmick.

Are the mains ones not a bit too powerful round the window seals and decals?

Yes I bet they are but the van never gets dirty enough to need a pressure washer. I just use a long soft brush thing for the van, Wilkinsons sell them, you can even connect the hose to them.

Given the frequently proffered advice to be cautious about using a pressure washer on a motorhome - surely a lower powered one might be advantageous?
It's not just the low power though. Also battery life which might not be very long if they are anything like cordless vacuum cleaners.

I wouldn't even use a pressure washer on my car, seen too many trims blasted off by them.

As above.
Why would you feel the need to pressure wash MoHo? A soft brush or sponge will do the least damage.

If the pressure is too high stand further away ... And definitely don't go into the kitchen ...

I have a mains Nilfisk one that was on offer from Costco. Came with all sorts of attachments including one where you can dial down the pressure for cleaning car/MH etc

20-30 minutes continuous use apparently
That’s about right! Has the advantage of being able to connect a standard 1 litre pop-bottle to it if the hose is getting in the way too!

Thank you all for the discussion above. Well here is an update.

I went for the Aguri 4 power washer which arrived yesterday. It works well and seems to do what it claims.

The pressure is controlled by changing the end wand. I used the low pressure wand as I cannot stand very far back back on my parking area!. No leaking of seams. I did heed the advice above and made sure that the water was not directed at their edges. The battery lasted about an hour.

When our motorhome is serviced the garage ask if I want it washing. They will use a brush rather than the pressure washer.
I pressure washed a breakdown van meany years ago. The hot water and pressure took the reflective stripes off the side of the van. I don’t really want the decals removing from our motorhome.

I bought one of those cordless Worx Powershot ones. It is more like a low pressure washer than a 230v high pressure washer (I also have one of those but would never risk using it on our PVC).

The 20 minute run time with the 2Ah battery is OK for a quick wash with 2 buckets and a sponge, or just to rinse off road salt and grit including inside the wheelarches. Saves getting the garden hose and ladder out for the full wash that the PVC will get fairly soon.

The optional soda bottle attachment is great for rinsing off bird poo. That 1.5 litres of water is quickly used up.

In the 80s I worked for a courier company, they'd just had 3 7.5T curtain sided trucks delivered so got the local paper to run a story on them

Only they were a bit grubby for the picture so the boss got a big bucket , filled it with traffic film remover and hot water

Got the long brush out and started scrubbing the newly signwritten curtains

Went inside to connect the hose , by the time he got back most of the signwriting was making its way in streaks to the bottom of the curtains

Turns out that TFR is a lot more caustic than you think :D

A bloke I worked with on breakdown recovery use to wash his yellow jacket with it....nice and clean but started to rot.
I washed a van with tfr once , watered it down quite a lot but it still took a layer of skin off , never used it sincev

Same as SpeedyDux I use the Worx to rinse the van down as it struggles to remove ingrained dirt. The battery lasts a good 15 minutes and I have a spare as well. It's pretty good at cleaning the mtb as well.

I've got the worx one , it's nothing like a mains pressure washer but if you've got a bucket it's better than chucking it at the MH

Those bluetooth cordless hose pipes are good, saves getting it tangled up when you go around the van.

Another vote for the Worx
