Finding Perfection
Hi team,

I currently have a SMEV grill in my 2007 Welcome 75 and I’ve been wondering if there was enough space to pop in a combo microwave oven.

Has anyone else managed to accomplish this?

I think, a low wattage micro is okay but I think a combi might trip the EHU, it all depends on the start-up watts?

Was only thinking of using it when hooked up. Would this make a difference Hobo?

Should be OK bear in mind the start up power can be up to double the microwave rating ones like the better Panasonics with inverter technology have a lot lower start up power. Most of the small ones should be OK on a 6 amp outlet, definitely Ok on 10 amps.

I understand that "built in" microwaves have to have a slightly different set of operating innards due to venting / condensation issues. Something else for you to investigate.

Our Elddis came with what turned out to be a standard table top model mounted above the cooker. When we used it I noticed that the internal surfaces would get quite wet. After little use, but around 18 months old, it started cutting out after 4 mins use. It was replaced by the manufacturer with a similar model but I've added a mains powered fan to assist with venting. No repeat issues so far.
