Cooker lid

Has anyone had any issues with the cooker lid fallen forward when in the vertical position? I have had the hinge / springs out and adjusted them but they do not seem to have any effect with this movement. It seems as though there is play where the spring assembly sits into the metal of the lid.

Any thoughts / remedies?

Fitted a turnbuckle on the last MH. Stopped any movement forward

Only had 2 mohos, both with full cookers, both with glass lids, same as my elderly Parkinson Cowan kitchen gas cooker at home. No experience of a metal lid whatever.

It's not metal, just the strip at the back of it.
