Transit Jumbo
Hey forum, just wondering if anyone has done or has any advice on what I am looking to do.

I would like to take the two front seats in my MK7 transit jumbo, remove them and replace them with two front seats that are road legal and can be folded back into a bed.

I have looked at rock n roll beds but struggling a bit tbh to get something that will fit the area.

I surely cannot be the first person who has wanted to do this? Any ideas or guidance much appreciated.

Cheers

Never heard of anyone who even makes them. There is a firm that makes a sling arrangement to go over existing seats for kids but cannot remember the businesses name

Back when, we had a vw caravette, and converted the front seats to a sleeping area by cutting up some plywood sheets to fit each side with drop out legs for support in the footwell areas. With a foam topping it worked OK for us ,for a child up to 10 yrs as then.we had hammock type beds in the hinged roof so made a good 5 berth. (y)

Leisuredrive on their VW and other same-size conversions do a fold flat seat.

It joins up with the rear passenger seats to make the lower part of two single beds.

No good for lying cross-ways though.
