My control panel is a flat pcb board.
It keeps falling off the wall the fixings are shot. Can i drill holes in each corner to screw it on. Bavaria moho so same as a pilote. I can post photos tomorrow

I think that a small line of silicone might be a better idea?

If you can pop a photo up there might be other suggestions as well.
mike.

Cut a slot into a coupe of pieces of plastic, such as a bottle top, then slot the caps on the board then you can put a screw through the caps making your board removable.

This is assuming it is hidden and not in view.

The amount of wires behind are forcing it off the wall. I have some nice black screw caps that wouldn’t be out of place it’s whether i can screw through the panel that concerns me.
Photos tomorrow it is.

Push the wires further down inside the wall.

If you chat with PaulandChrissy i recon he could make you a plinth with four hook prongs that would hold it in place. Flex the prongs, pop out the panel. He is a whizz with his plastic printer.

Put a picture up of both sides of the board. You can get self adhesive "stand-offs" which are of various lengths, might do the job perfectly for you. Only cost a couple of quid for a bagful.

Pictures of control panel.
Im wanting to put screw in each corner of the panel but dont know if it will interfere with the pcb. No holes in it now just has plastic push fit similar to what holds a door card in place

I am a bit confused now. Are you saying that the pbc is falling off the back off the control panel ?

Or, is the whole assembly of the panel front and pcb falling from somewhere, ie the panel front needs to be secured and the pcb stays attached to it just fine ?

The whole panel falls out of the hole on the wall. I want to drill each corner but it lights up for various tasks. So im thinking drilling will damage the pcb.

I’m confused as well 🤪

So would some sort of black corner mounts work for you .

From your photos I would guess that there is nothing close to either end of the front panel so a small hole with a screw cap should be fine.
I personally would try some double sided body mounting tape first on the back of the faceplate. Once it's stuck it makes a very strong bond.
Clean the surfaces well before applying.

Thanks folks for the ideas.
Im going to make a packer frame out of black upvc fascia board to give more of a gap between the panel and the wires behind which are forcing the panel off the wall. Then im going to use a plastic twist fixing on each corner and perhaps some double sided velcro.

I had thesame problem with my Bavaria, strangely about three hours after I picked it from a job at the dealers. They said they'd not touched it and to be fair the work they did was nothing to do with the panel. I got it pushed back on and it's still there but I'm thinking of four small holes in the corners to screw it on for peace of mind.

Would one of these in each corner, printed in black work for you, and maybe a straight one midway along the width. The screw would be counter bored so it would look neater.

You could drill say a 3mm hole near each corner of the panel, making sure that the holes line up to the wood of the panel, that way you will entirely miss the pcb. Therefore you could put some short screws into the wood. Make sure the screws are not long enough to protrude out of the back of the wood as they could shred wires in the cavity.

Before doing anything I would try and tidy the cables inside the cavity so that they are separated so that when the unit goes onto the wall the cables are not sitting on top of each other which would force the panel outwards.

Sound advice. I would do exactly the same.

Im still averse to drilling the panel due to it having back lit gauges all over it.

You could try this. Really sticky, but allows for removal.

I've tried that black tack in the past and while better than blue tack don't think it's up to that job.
The ops last post suggested velcro which as long as it's the industrial version may well fix the problem quite simply.
