2015 for a year then a break. Now a newbie again!
There's lots of stuff on here about tyre pressures. All helpful, but some of it a bit confusing to my dumb brain.
So I gave Continental a ring. Very helpful chap, Ian Jackson, sent me the attached chart.
Self explanatory I think, but basically weigh each axel separately with full load and refer to the chart. It says 69 PSI on the tyres but that seems a lot - max I presume.
I had my van weighed but total. Came in at about 3,000 kg pretty well loaded (inc. E-bike and tow bar rack)
(My tyres are Continental VancoCamper 225/75 R16 CP 116)

If you read the vin plate, it probably says something like 1850kg front and 2000kg rear. If you used those values, you'd be 3.25 bar (47psi) at the front and 4.25 bar (62psi) at the rear.

If you have better actual axle readings, you could choose to go lower.

You'll note that these camper (CP) tyres have much higher pressures than van tyres for that same load. Van tyres offer a much more comfortable ride.

I have Continental 4 season tyres. The guys at Continental are very helpful and with my 5.4 metre van running at a weight of 3.2 tones they recommend 47psi front and back for my actual measured loadings. Ride is good and runs quiet for a van.

Out of interest what kind of van? MH or camper?

Yep. I weighed mine, and set the pressures that Ian recommended for those weights. A huge improvement in ride quality.

I had to alter the TPMS trigger pressures.

By chance mine has come out exactly the same after weighing front and rear axel and adding a bit for full fuel, +1 passenger and other bits.
They were up at 70+ which is a hell of a difference.
I presume the broker just pumped them up to the 69 psi rating on the side of the tyre.
We'll see if it makes a difference to the ride.

Thanks for all for your advice.

When our van was new it came with 60psi front and 65 rear. (continental camper tyres) I've kept them the same for 9 years and 45k miles, all good, fronts getting a little low on tread now mind 🤔

I rang Continental straight after taking delivery of my brand new van as the tide was “harsh”. Changing to 47psi totally transformed the ride. I don’t think the converters change the tyre pressures, they are probably left at the pressure as delivered by Fiat. I have just changed my original van tyres on age not tread depth.
