Any help will be appreciated there are no warning lights on

Any idea where the noise might be coming from, as in the cab area or the habitation area ? Have you got an automatic step, is your fridge door shut properly ? Might even be a faulty relay "chattering" on your hab electrics control box ? 🤷‍♂️

It’s coming from habitation area step and fridge door closed. Thanks for replying

A little more specific detail on the vehicle might help. Age, year, model etc. along with a bit of an introduction?
Anyway ,welcome to Motorhome Fun.

Have you left an external locker door unsecured and the alarm sensor is advising such?

If the engine is on and the step is down (or the sensor thinks it is down) a buzzer will sound.

Either retract the step, or look for the step sensor.
As the sensor is close to the ground and gets a lot of road spray they have a tendency to corrode.
(The quick fix is to remove the wires from the sensor and replace on a warm dry day)

Definitely sounds like the step alarm/buzzer from your description.

Put your step out whilst engine running. Do you get another buzzer, or no change?

So you couldn’t put the step out then start engine?
Yes you can. So engine off and extend the step, but as soon as you start the engine the buzzer sounds immediately and the step retracts. Once retracted if the engine is still running you cannot extend the step.

I do now think it is the step sensor or side locker as had a problem locking it yesturday. Will check them both tomorrow
