Hi everyone. Whilst installing my new leisure batteries, I managed to damage a connector under the seat, by pulling two of the wires out. Have never seen a connector like it, I suspect it is for the seat sensors to detect if someone is seated. I don't know how to get the wiring connection apart and don't want to do more damage. Can anyone shed any light/wisdom???

Yes it's seat belt, don't turn ignition on till you fix wires back in and plug back in.

Most plugs you can get an extraction tool to get the pins out but a jeweler's screwdriver used carefully normally works.

That’s the air bag pretensioner and seatbelt buckle wiring. Switching on the ignition will introduce a fault warning with the airbag module.
It needs repairing properly as it is a safety critical component.

Wow, that's an expensive component! https://coastalmotorhomes.co.uk/fia...y-seat-belt-stalk-pre-tensioner-right-06.html

Only needs wiring repairs not a new tensioner unit
Looks like the little red inserts come out then the op can refit wires. Looks like yellow one goes in the centre hole.
It will need new crimp connections and proper tools to do them but a mobile auto spark should be able to do this without any trouble. £75 to £150 should have like new again.

Or a local funster with a crimping set😉

The two red plugs look to have already partially been pulled out so may not be too difficult to get them out. The yellow wire looks to go into the inner red plug where some of the strands are showing. Once out it should be apparent how the wires are held in. The black wire, having come out cleanly, suggests to me that not enough wires had been bared to hold into the plug/fitting.

It’s the pin out tool that most people just won’t have even assuming they have the correct crimping kit. Unfortunately many diy users think these are all that’s needed 🤣

Following on from what Derbyshire Wanderer said. You'll need crimpers that fold the connector edges over the wire, not just squash it. Something like these. They're not too bad to use with a little practice on some spare connectors. The connectors you need can easily be bought on line.
