Hi after a bit of guidance. Took the plunge and bought a 200w panel in the Prime day sales. Also bought a victron controller. Are these easy to connect up ? What size cables and connections am I likely to need ? Would like to be able to quick connect etc

A good 200 watt panel at best might produce 14 Amps. If the panel is a hard type you'll get better output than the lighter fold up type. Depending what's on the end of the cable that comes with it - if it's alligator clips I'd cut them off and use some of the cable that's on it to wire up from the battery to controller to a connection point on the outside of the van (unless you're happy to hang a cable out the window). Some kind of waterproof connection (Anderson plug maybe?). Probably best to have a DC switch in there between Anderson plug and controller.

I've got a fold out 100w panel in case of consecutive dull days. I fitted the controller under the seat near the battery with a 20 amp rocker switch to isolate it. The solar panel connects with a SAE connector same as you get with the optimate maintainer.
