Condensation

Unless you have a completely air tight and sealed van dehumidifiers ain't the answer.... all they do is dry air in van and then the wet air outside seeps into van resulting in moisture so dehumidifier drys air again... result... vicious circle that can actually cause more condensation.

Anything I've tried 12v, ie fans etc have been useless, if you choose to go that way then go 240v ,but through a suitable inverter.

Has anyone tried one of them 12v dehumidifiers? I have seen them but haven’t thought they will do anything.
Yes, years ago, They don`t work. I keep old towels. Normally for drying wet dog. But I found if I throw it on the dash right up to the screen and then use the Squeegee from the shower. It removes it in record time. Start engine and put A/C on that removes final traces. I have the Booster heater on the Sprinter so it warms up quite fast!.

Heating was on 1 all night, I thought that was supposed to stop it. Maybe needs a window open all night as well ?‍♂️
It's warm moist air inside the van condensing on the cold screen from cold outdoor air. .
Silver screen help insulate the screen.
Just your breath is enough to make it moist but such as a kettle or boiling food will really set it off.
Heating will probably make it worse unless the van is unoccupied.

The domestic dehumidifiers are efficient, compressor type. But bulky and heavy to have in the van.
Since 12v compressor fridges exist, and are quite efficient, I thought that may be some 12v compressor dehumidifiers. Suppose there is not enough call for them.
Good old ventilation is still king.

Silver screens and plenty of ventilation. I read somewhere that an adult exhales 3.5 litres of water vapour overnight, that water is running down your walls as well as your windows. The screens are a bit of an expense, but worth every penny imo.

Yes and not worth the packaging price!

Aldi from time to time do water vacuum, I have one and it’s a great addition circa £20
