All the gear, and no idea!
Renewal time again and it’s gone up £110 for next year!! It went up £183 last year so this years premium is £730!! I think they’re starting to take the pi$$! No claims, endorsements or accidents in the last 10 yrs (and that one was a no fault)!!
Car renewal DOWN £73 on auto renew! Without haggling
Scooter DOWN £38 on auto renew! Again without haggling!
Even the house insurance has gone down £21.
I’m very very very nearly at the point where I’m gonna say #### it and sell up!😤
So there might be a Carthago chic c line 3.0 LHD in ads soon!!🤔🤔
I am just feeling ripped off by comfort

Will be collecting my new to me tag axle Cheyenne tomorrow (Monday) not had a motorhome for the last two years and I have just done the insurance dance.
Comparison sites start at £300 ish' upto zillions of pounds. the low prices were all very high exess around £600 and with companies I had never heard of.
Spoke to AIB and Comfort, Both companies would use AVIVA as the underighter. Expected AIB to come in lower as we all know they give us Funsters a big discount.

AIB £497.58
Comfort £462.00

Both with breakdown and European cover etc' Obviously have gone with Comfort, the price is approximately £100.00 more than my last policy with them two years ago.

Good luck Westy :giggle:

Wow I thought ours was expensive at just under £300, I would definitely shop around. We used comfort in the past and found they put prices up significantly for existing customers, found the same with safeguard so now with NFU until they try it.

It’s certainly better value than Pet Insurance !!! There are so many exclusions it’s not worth having it.

Yes I will be giving the Louth office a ring tomorrow👍

We had a £40 rise with Comfort this yest year it was only £2, normally only between 2 to 10 quid some years it's gone down. Had to renew with them as we were in Spain at the time of renewal it's still not a bad price.
LHD doesn't make any difference with Comfort.

I shop around every year. There is no loyalty bonus with rip off insurance companies so vote with your feet and move on to somebody cheaper.
NFU pay a Mutual Bonus that goes up with years of loyalty. They also don’t do reduced first premiums to get new customers and then recover the cost by whacking it up in the following years. Last year my NFU motorhome premium went down not up.

This year's policy was ten pounds dearer them last years with Comfort, last year it was three pounds less then the year before.

Thing is if I go with someone else I’ll have to get eu breakdown cover for a 7.5m 5 ton van?

Recommendations Anyone??

Pah… ! You think that’s expensive?

This week … I’ve been getting eye-watering quotes for a 22 plate Carthago.

Comfort £2300 ! Adrian Flux £1800 but only £1k cover for the windscreen. LV declined to quote.

My SK postcode seems to be the problem. I’m paying £700 for the current Hymer Mercedes PVC which I thought was pricy but accepted because I want the convenience of having it in the drive rather than 15 miles away in storage.

I have one small claim about two years ago which the insurance companies reckon is adding about 20% to the base premium but the postcode is adding 125% on top of that.

I have just moved from comfort to LV.
Renewal went up £40 to £420...

LV £277 .. It includes windscreen full cover and European breakdown up to 7.5t. May be a length limit of 8mtr which is fine for me.

Get on that phone and start getting quotes.
Martin Lewis says that the optimum period to get quotes is 23 days before the date so this week is important.
Ring them all and then, if you want to stay with your present set of shysters who are having you over and don't ask them that you would like them to reconsider. Tell them you are off. In fact, regardless of what they offer, I would go even if it was down to another quote. That would be a signal that you know they've been extracting the Michael (other names are available).

Thanks tonka that gives me a glimmer of hope👍

You need to phone.. The online quote page is a waste of time, even the LV person agreed with that..

Confirmed in the small print.. 7.5t or ?? 8 mtr...
