Insurance renewal in from Comfort.

Should I go with Comfort’s or Nationwide’s Breakdown Cover?

I’ve only had a Nationwide account for 3 months so not sure which cover is best, so pro’s & con’s with each please?

Been happy with Nationwide when we needed it for car & MH. Why pay extra fir something not needed.

We have the nationwide flex plus account which includes health insurance and mobile phone cover it suits us fine although we pay extra for health over 31 days.

They both use the AA. & if you need astance abroad it will be down to the local company they call.

No point in paying Comfort £75 if you can get the same cover for free with your bank account.

Is there not a £13(?) month "management fee" on the account and some restrictions on age / size / etc?

I've had my insurance with Comfort for a number of years, and had their integrated breakdown package, which covers both UK and Europe. Together, I found it cheaper than having a separate breakdown contract.

I have used their breakdown service once, when a cooling hose split, and it worked well and was seamless.

The Flexplus breakdown cover offered by the AA through Nationwide is one of the better packages supplied by the banks & building societies.
The bottom line is that they will recover a motorhome upto 7500kg & up to 8m in length, although I don't know their limitiations on repatriation.

Yes, but it covers my 2 cars, 3 motorbikes, the m/home and any vehicle in which I'm a passenger - plus a heck of a lot more cover. Just one policy and it self-renews.

It’s become literally almost free over the last two years for us. We have had 2 x £100 credits to the account as the nationwide fairer share bonus!
We have used the cover for punctures & flat battery in Portugal. Service was excellent.

It has been "free" for us recently. As we have a joint account, we have received £100 each in dividends this past two years. Had £200 paid into the account least week.

Yes, but if you already have the account it's effectively free.
But if you don't?

Haven't got a decent photo of the van yet, the old one was in a Funsters garden in France.

Build quality far superior to Hymer, busy pulling it apart at the moment, flipping hard work, it's built too well.

Now wait just a wee minute!:swear2:

I'm not seeing "Lenny's Modding the superior Gin Palace" thread yet.

Cease all operations immediately until we're all onboard (literally, not physically 'cause we'll all be getting in your road!) so we can keep you right!:clap2:
