Comfort insurance renewal quote

I have just had my renewal quote from Comfort, we are full timers living in our moho. Now Comfort have changed their breakdown cover to arag, well I've just spent 10 minutes reading the policy, and it states a max length of 7.6m we are 7.9m 4.2 tonne 🤷😕

So I now have to start looking for suitable eu breakdown recovery that covers long term travelling in the EU, I have an Irish passport, what breakdown cover do others have that full time mostly out of the uk?

Im struggling a little 😪 if you full time with Comfort check you're vehicle dimensions...

Nationwide flex plus bank account has breakdown with AA. Personal cover
£18per month but includes worldwide travel insurance too if that's useful for you.

Have you phoned them up and checked,I can't believe it as they would loose so many customers.I think it has just been badly written,I certainly hope so,this is the current and pre April 2024 conditions. If they're limiting the size of the van to 7.6m why put the DVLA size guide lines ? I thik you'll find the 7.6m refers to anything being towed 🤞

We've been with Comfort and had to be recovered earlier this year, but in UK and 7.4m or thereabouts. I read the above as posted by rb62 as it being any trailer being towed at the time cannot be over 7.6m, with the main motorhome being up to 12m. We're under 2.55m wide, but is the average A-class?

Hello, we long term in Europe (9 months concurrently per year) with Comfort for insurance and breakdown.

The policy I have with them currently covers both the nine months and our 9m+ 7.3T motorhome for insurance and breakdown. Are you saying the revised policy wording changes either of those parameters, time away and or vehicle size covered for breakdown?

Spoken to Comfort this morning, there are no size or weight restrictions on the breakdown policy, max callouts per policy is 6, and no time restrictions while in the countries covered, so all good 👍

Do they cover nine months away still, or is it as you suggested, changed to six?
