Has anybody walked the above Ambleside to Grasmere. Trying to find out if its doable with our elderly dogs pram. It has off road wheels but too big to lift over styles

We've probably done it in the past but cant remember if there are 'obstacles'.

It shadows the main road so you could always detour to that as I think there is footpath all the way on that.

There are a couple of videos on YouTube....

We have done it a couple of times and think you should be ok, I don't recall if there are any stile but well be some.
On one occasion we met a coach load of Chinese / Japanese tourist going the opposite direction dressed in flimsy clothing and flip flops on their feet.

It a couple of years since we last walked it and I'm almost sure that there is an obstacle (stile up a short steep rise) towards the Grasmere end of the route that may give you a problem with the pram if it can't be lifted. Will see if we have any further info.

Other half seems to recall it's on the section between Rydal Mount and Gardens and Wordsworth House. There is a footpath that follows the A591 passing through Rydal onwards towards Grasmere as an alternative.

How life throws you a curve ball.
Frank our elderly dog has been taken ill terminally so tomorrow he is flying away from us. So sad but we wont let him suffer so our plans to walk him in the lakes are over.
Not a like 🙄 but feel for you
