fiat ducato 2.8 jtd
Hi folks , mechanics putting in my reconditioned gearbox today so I thought it makes sense put in new clutch ! I got one for £165 from Dingbro motor factors & unfortunately not lining up the pressure plate different size than old one !
I called motor factors back and can’t find my van on their system ! They just gave me a standard lucas 2.8 jtd clutch for a Ducato !
Any help asap be much appreciated 👍as mechanics at a stand still 🙈

Has the old parts got any identification numbers on them that the motor factors can use?

To be honest, if the mechanic is worth his salt, then he’ll know exactly what plate you need, by comparing the old one and the new wrong one. Also, he should be able to source one from both the chassis and engine numbers and VRN for you. There should also possibly be info on the old plate. Make sure he changes the slave release bearing as well.

Good luck 🤞🏻

your motorhome may well have been registered in 2002, but chassis/engine etc could have been from the previous year, what does the plate measure across?

have a quick read of this - includes part numbers. post number 4
would seem your clutch plate is the 'older' (pre 6/2001 model)
