Laika Ecovip ordered
Evening, We a T5 conversion in the past and are big fans of the van life holidays. We've ordered our upgrade to a Laika Ecovip due for delivery in March. Looking for help and tips with everything from bedding to insurance! Thanks in advance :giggle:

I see what odds Paddy Power will give on a March delivery!

Many on here will tell you of late, very late, and unbelievably late deliveries.
A few months late is normal, 18 months late is not unusual.
The salesman's delivery date is about as trustworthy as a politicians date for the next election.

(Sunak announced yesterday the next election would be in "2nd half of this year", the odds on a May election went to 4/1 and an October election of 16/1, in other words, the punters do the exact opposite of what he says, as they dont trust him to tell the truth)

We'll be ok - bought a stock van but didn't want it registered until March so we're not running down warranties and paying insurance/storage over the winter. Dealer agreed to keep it for us until the spring

Welcome!

As for bedding.
Get fitted sheets from Snuglux.
Give them the make and model of the van
They seem to have templates for every bed configuration
Choose the material and colour
And it all arrives by post.

You will need a tracker/immobiliser/alarm system
(You are unlikely to get insurance without it)

If the dealer offers to fit it (or add to the build spec) decline the offer, no matter how tempting.
You can get much better quality for less money from [Broken Link Removed]
Like many others we drove from the dealers forecourt straight to VanBitz to get it all fitted.
(There are also discounts for members of Fun)

VanBitz can also fit GasLow systems and Solar systems.
Both of which I'd strongly recommend getting fitted at the same time.

Hi there
Welcome to the Fun, loads of great info on here, well worth the £20 membership.
We've got a 2022 Laika EcoVip as well, shout if you need any info.
There is a owners club which Laika are now involved with, it's only just re-launched but they are organising rallies etc.

Hi Andy,
Finally picked up the van and started out on our adventures.
I've hit my first (I suspect of many) snag and would appreciate a bit of help if possible? I can't seem to find where you fill up the toilet flush tank.
I can find YouTube videos of almost everything else!
Thanking you
V

All my vans have had the tank flush straight from the fresh tank. There isn’t a flush tank. I had those in my caravans. Try filling the fresh water tank then flushing the loo
