just looking
Some years ago there was a thread on the click n’ go automatique clutch. Unfortunately this system is no longer sold in the UK but I suspect there a number of people out there who are still using it, as it is transferable between vehicles. I would be very pleased to hear from anyone who like to share their experience.
Many thanks in advance

Thanks, I think the clutch system us probably sold under different names in other parts of the world.

I had a system that allowed clutch less gear change that would also depress the clutch when slowing down. Made motorway bumper to bumper drive dead easy. Give me a day and I'll remember what it is called, head office was in Kent somewhere.

Thanks Clive
your’s sounds like the click n ´go system that was sold in Europe incl UK.
Unfortunately they stopped manufacturing in 2021 apparently there were quality issues with the later models. I am trying to get a thread running to see who is using it currently I would like to get my hands on the device that resets the clutch engagement speed. One can always hope.
We live in SW France but my father’s family were from Ilminster.

What an interesting concept ! Couldn't quite get to grips with the first video, but found another which, whilst still in Indian, explained a bit more including the fitting of a microswitch to the gear lever that detects you moving the stick and deploys the clutch accordingly. Seems a lot simpler than Fiat's Comformatic system for example, although you still have to shift gear manually, it seems a good compromise though ?

Believe it or not but Ford had a similar system that used the vacuum from the engine to operate the clutch in the 1950s I remember working on a ford 100E popular in the 1960s, a switch on the gear-lever open a valve to allow the vacuum to operate a diaphragm on the clutch fork,

Its a relatively simple electro mechanical system. An electric motor activates a cable which pulls on the clutch pedal. Activation through a button on the gear lever or applying the foot brake. The whole is managed by it’s own CAN bus which changes the speed at which the clutch reacts according to engine speed. Simple and very reliable and could be transferred to another vehicle.
Picture the mechanism orange is clutch cable

Hi all, recently found this in my car that the last owner fitted, looks like a click n go controller, is it worth anything to sell or not something anyone uses anymore, appreciate any responses.
