Clearing Port of Santander?

We are travelling from Plymouth to Santander in early April. I wonder how long we should allow for clearing the port? We are heading to the Haute Pyrenees, then into Spain.

Last time I think we spent about an hour in our vehicle on the ship, then got through the Spanish formalities in minutes.

Suspect the bigger issue is logistics once one has arrived at the port.

Its very easy to get out of Santander itself but you never know how long it will take to get out of the port.

The time on the ship after arrival depends where you get loaded as to when you get off.

Once you start moving its pretty quick - a stamp of passports at a kiosk and away.

When we leave we turn left and head out your way, stopping only to stock up at a supermarket.

Clearing the port -
between 5 minutes and 50 minutes - depending if the Policia National / Guardia Civil are feeling particularly friendly towards you or not
also depends upon which way they send you out
