My van has started to give erratic readings on the grey water level gauge.I’m thinking that the probes need cleaning.Has anyone done this please and are the probes accessible through the 100mm screw covers on the bottom of the tank?Thank you.

We managed to remove the screw cover on our Burstner after a home made soup spillage ['1 slice of soup or 2?' variety] and an autopilot 'wash the cleaning cloth under running water' response; it was a pig to loosen off, and trying to reach the probes 'blind' removed a lot of skin from wrist and knuckles.

Since that debacle, we have emptied the grey tank before leaving site, and then pouring a dose of Bio Washing Liquid [using the Container Dose Measuring Lid] down the waste pipe with 5 litres or so of fresh water [balance of hot water if on ehu]. The 'Slosh & Wash' effect of cornering and braking is enough to remove the gunge, by emptying the grey tank when you get home [even when the journey is from ourlocal site 35 miles from home]
